WHAT IS FNL (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) FLAG FOOTBALL?
FNL Flag Football is a recreational 6-on-6 co-ed game filled with fun and action. The offensive team plays for a first down at midfield and or a touchdown in the end zone. Running and passing plays are allowed, although there are "no running zones" at midfield and near each goal line. The defensive team covers receivers, rushes the passer, and pulls flags. It is intended to be a "non-contact" sport.

WHEN DOES THE SEASON START?
SPRING: Practices begin in February. Opening night is the first or second Friday in March. The spring season finishes up in early-June.

WHERE AND WHEN ARE THE GAMES?
Games will be played at Rancho Bernardo Community Park. The majority of games will be played on Fridays, with potentially other days due conflicts and weather. In general, the younger divisions play earlier and the older kids play later. Coaches can put in requests prior to the season schedule coming out. The first round of games may start as early as 4:30pm. Games run about 45-50 minutes.
